I had an E30 BMW 318is for a 2-3 years.. and also (embarassingly enough) a Volvo 760 estate for 3 years, so I've done both the German and Swedish side of the coin. I've also ordered parts from both these companies for my gf's 1999 16valve VW polo. Parts from those specialists were almost always cheaper than "Main dealer" prices. In some cases... staggeringly cheaper. I got some bosch parts for the bmw that were the same make/model as the BMW part... except some of the "main dealer" parts had a BMW logo next to the bosch logo on the part. In a couple of cases the main dealer prices were 4 times that quoted by German and Swedish. Not only do they give great prices, but customer service from both companies has been good also.
