How can I make it sound deeper without putting a whole exhaust system in? I heard if you do somethin with the flap it makes it sound deeper? How do you change or move the flap to get this sound?
Reasonated exhaust tips. = Have a metal panel on the inside with alot of small holes.
Make sure the tips are not too large, or you will get a "rice effect" …smaller diameter like 2 1/4 -3” is the most you should do. anything more makes your car subject to ridicule. As for an awsome Muffler switch without paying a ton of money, the "Raptor" By Flow Tech is a very cheap source of growl for your car. Just requires an adapter into the inlet side of the muffler. You would be out, maybe 45 bucks for installation and purchase if you get the Muff. from O’riely’s and have a respectable shop to do the work. FYI- All the high dollar exhaust systems are a waste of time unless you are doing it all for "show". There is no drastic improvements in power, just a name tag,and maybe a sound you like.
Be creative with your exhaust. It is a difinitave part of your personality going into the car. people tend to forget that these days.

What is the name of the original exhaust fitted to a 1998 bmw M3 Evolution coupe?
go to www.realoem.com and type in either the last 7 of the VIN or else drill down through the menus by body, year, model, engine, transmission.. then go to the exhaust system category.
This site is great as it shows pictures and lists part numbers for everything on the car.

Best Sounding/Performance Exhaust For BMW e46 330i?
Okay I’m buying a used BMW e46 330i (preferably with sport package) in the next two months and wondering which exhaust system would provide my car with the best exhaust note and performance .My budget is around $1200 and I favor clean, deep racecar tones, not the raspy, obnoxious ricer tones (if that makes sense). I live in San Diego and I’m not familiar at all with the cities emissions laws, but I probably need a system with catalytic converters (maybe high flow cats) and I’m not sure if resonators are needed. If anyone has had experience with BMW exhaust systems your response would be greatly appreciated.
Some of the systems i have been looking at are: eisenman, remus, borla, AA, Supersprint, DINAN, and Rogue Engineering.
Thanks for your time!!
Yes very decent car,
For me in terms of performance/appearance/sound
-UUC
-Eisenman
-Borla
-Remus
Problem with some of the systems on a 6cyl is they sound a little buzzy, UUC tends to have deepest and most aggressive tone, with a little bark on downshift.
Best installation in my opinion would be full system – catbacks, leave stock cats in place.
All of these systems will be 50 state legal (catbacks).
In due course if you do a performance header installation will improve the complete system and set your car up for more power on the intake side if thats where you decide to go.
Youtube has sound clips, and that would be a good place to start perhaps.
regards

Where can I find an exhaust system for a 1986 BMW 325e?
I Have a 1986 325e that I’ve been restoring over the past year, in addition to sandblasting and essentially having the entire motor re-manufactured, my buddy who is helping me do all of this an I cannot find a decent exhaust for this thing…. I want to put something that will help the motor sound real nice, NOT SOME STUPID FART CAN OFF eBay!!!!
help me out?
Ireland Engineering. Will give you some nice sound without going overboard. They race classic racers and sell stuff they engineer/use. www.bmw2002.com

I have a kerker exhaust system on a BMW k 100 can I replace a lost inner baffle?
I have a K100 with a Kerker exhaust system the baffle fell out so all I have is a straight pipe can I buy a replacement baffle? It’s a Kerker K style. I really don’t want to buy a new muffler
Call SuperTrapp, they bought Kerker in 91. The K-Series Mufflers are still sold for a number of bikes (just not the BMW’s anymore) core’s are the same-just get a new core/packing and your good as new. 216-265-8400 is the number.
