Can you help with BMW 316 1994 manufacturers part number for airflow metering box?

Need to replace airflow metering box on my 1994 BMW 316 E36 M40 engine. Part costs £350 new so would like to buy used part. BMW will not give me the part number!! Don’t have original part for this and have tried loads of metering boxes that just don’t fit. Please help have been tryng to get my motor back on the road for three weeks now!!

I want to know if I take up the supension of my car with adjustable spring can i install a 20 inch wheels on it.because i found it for a a good price

i have seen 22’s on a few but it takes a special hub center to do it . check with a wheel dealer and they should have the exact info you’ll need ..

Bmw z3 wheels will they fit?

I own a bmw z3 1.9 1997 and just aquired some wheels from the z3 2.8
but i notice the rear wheels are 17" 8.5J
will the rears fit ok?

Try using http://www.tirerack.com and match up the numbers or you could call a BMW dealer too.

Yes and no…

The wheels will fit, the offset and lug pattern are compatible.

The problem is the E90 (and even E46) tire sizes are slightly larger than the E36.

So if you fit a take-off wheel and tire set from an E90 car, your speedometer will read slightly low. But it’s not a big deal unless you lower your car – then, it might scrape against your wheel well/fender.

Yes they will fit. They have the same bolt pattern as VW. The only thing is the wheel may stick out a little more(less than an inch) than the ones you have on now.

I am going to buy a 1990 bmw 325i cherry color or dark red and I was wondering what kind of rims would best fit that kind of car and color. I would like to know the name or a link to the picture. Hi, my 2002 BMW 325i came with Fittipaldi Force wheels. Two of the wheel center caps have fallen off (left-front and left-rear)……i wanted to buy BMW logo center caps and replace the other two also with a new set of 4 BMW logo center caps…..my question is, will they (BMW caps) fit on the Fittipaldi wheels? thanks in advance.

Any way i can do this without harming the car itself?
I can see what looks to be the hook release inside, but im not sure if that is the right way.

i dont want you to harm your car or anything so try to go to the dealer and get another key ………….
if not try to open the door of your car by cloth holder bent it so it would fit in between the glass and the door then let it reach to the end then simply lift it to the top very fast see if it works
do you have a sun roof if so its more easy good luck

have you considered "making" your own exhaust? I have a 2000 M5, and I cut off all 4 mufflers, and replaced them with straight through magnaflow pipes, and it sounds beautiful! all in all it cost me about $200, for the 4 mufflers. I will also be replacing the stock catalytic converters to high flow magnaflow mufflers soon.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the 318 only has one muffler, so if you took that off, and replaced it with a magnaflow straight through muffler ($50-$60), you could really save some money, get a great sound, and add a little more "oomph" to your ride. On a dyno, I actually gained 6 HP to the rear wheels with these pipes…
